Registration is now open for the Third Annual Rome Conference on AI, Ethics, and Governance on June 18-20, 2026 in Rome, Italy, co-founded by Wilson Sonsini and Libra Legal Partners!

RomeAI2026 will once again convene global leaders across technology, business, policy, academia, and civil society to examine the profound and far-reaching impact of artificial intelligence (AI). Building on prior years, this year’s conference places a heightened emphasis on ethics and the transformative nature of AI.

AI has moved beyond experimentation into a foundational force driving decision-making, innovation, and societal change. As capabilities accelerate, the implications are no longer limited to productivity gains, but extend to fundamental questions around human dignity, trust, equity, and the long-term trajectory of global society. This conference is designed to address these questions and discuss how AI will impact not only today’s institutions, but generations to come.

This event draws inspiration from the ethical leadership of Pope Francis and the urgent calls for discernment from Pope Leo XIV, who warned that AI risks “invading the deepest level of communication—that of human relationships.” He has also emphasized that AI presents not merely a technological challenge, but an “anthropological” one—raising fundamental questions about what it means to be human and how society preserves authentic relationships, creativity, and moral responsibility in an age of intelligent machines.
